Common questions

Good things to know

Do I need to be fast to work with a coach?
Not at all. I coach complete beginners through competitive racers across Cambridge, Somerville and Boston. Every plan starts from your current fitness and builds from there.
Where does the Sunday group meet?
We meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM on the Charles River, right outside Weld Boathouse at 971 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA. Easy to reach from Somerville, Boston and the surrounding area.
Can you coach me for my first marathon or half marathon?
Yes. Marathon and half marathon builds are some of my favorite projects, but I also write training for 10Ks, 5Ks, the mile and everything in between.
What if my schedule is unpredictable?
That's normal, and the plan accounts for it. Training is built around your work and life, and we adjust whenever things shift. Missed days are part of the plan, not a failure.
Do you coach runners outside the Boston area?
Yes. Remote Coaching and Training Plans work from anywhere, with the same individualized approach. The weekly group practice is the only in-person piece.

Real life, real training

Building Around a Busy Schedule

Life is busy and it can be difficult to find the time to fit in training. That can hurt consistency, which can hurt gains. I can help with that.
