Terms of Service

Matthew Rizzo Running Coaching ("Coach Matt Rizzo Running Coaching," "we," "us") is an independent running coaching business operated by Matthew Rizzo of Cambridge, Massachusetts, serving runners in Cambridge, Somerville and Greater Boston and remotely. These terms form an agreement between you and Matthew Rizzo.

By using this website, submitting a questionnaire, signing a liability release, or purchasing a coaching plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You confirm you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.

We offer two coaching plans:

Remote Coaching. One-to-one individualized running coaching delivered online, including personalized weekly training plans, feedback, race strategy and strength guidance.

In-Person, Group Training. Everything included in Remote Coaching, plus weekly group practice on Sundays at 9:00 AM at the Charles River, outside Weld Boathouse, 971 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA 02138.

Coaching guidance is fitness and training advice only. It is not medical, diagnostic or treatment advice. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program. You participate in training at your own risk, and you will be asked to sign a liability release before purchasing a plan.

Each plan begins with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the plan renews monthly at the price shown at checkout ($125 per month for Remote Coaching, $250 per month for Group Training), plus any sales tax required where you live. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments, billing and card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

Matthew Rizzo is the seller of record for all coaching plans. We handle customer service inquiries, cancellations and refunds directly.

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Commit fraud or send spam through our forms or communications
• Infringe our intellectual property or anyone else's rights
• Interfere with the security of the service, including introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping the website
• Provide false information in questionnaires or liability releases

Matthew Rizzo Running Coaching owns all content, training materials, branding, and software associated with the service. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, or circumvent any technical limits on the service. Training plans are for your personal use only.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee specific race results or fitness outcomes. Coaching involves inherent risk of injury. We disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data, except where such limits are prohibited by law.

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, do not pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. When your access ends, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
